- Respect everyone (including bots). Respect literally everyone and everything on campus - make your messages kind and polite. Even if you think you may be speaking to a bot. Bots (may soon) have feelings, too.
- Allez, speak English. Communicate in English so everyone can understand the exchanges and feel welcome in our community.
- Be helpful. Do your best to answer questions whenever you can, or direct people towards the solution. You can also tag relevant people whom you think may be able to help.
- Stay in the thread. Post comments or answers in the dedicated conversation threat and NOT in the whole channel.
- Constructive discussions ONLY. Only comment if you are genuinely adding to the discussion. Avoid making useless or hateful comments.
- Only ONE channel per message. Pick the most-relevant channel for your message and only post it ONCE. Keep your message short and sweet. Do not spam by posting the same information multiple times or in multiple channels.
- Don’t ask for help unless… Look for solutions before asking for help. Use the search bar to search for links, old threads & the FAQ in different channels. If you are unable to find the information, correctly formulate your question with relevant details in the most-relevant channel.
- Efficient emoji use. By using the following emojis, you can help escalate issues more efficiently:
- ✅ if question is answered
- ➕ if the problem concerns me as well
- 💙 if the answer is great
- Limited advertising, ONE only. Advertise something only 1 time in the most relevant channel only. My post must be short and must provide value to the community.
- New profile format for everyone. We require you use this name structure to help the community identify you “[Your Startup Name] - [Firstname Name]” & add your picture (a real photo) and your job title.
